Consultant appointed by Victorian Premier's Department (R. J. Hamer, Premier) to BADAC (Building and Development Advisory Committee) Victoria to establish new Building Control Act and new Consolidated Building Code for Victoria.

Invited by the United Nations Centre for Housing, Building and Planning, through the Canadian Government, to present a paper at the July 1971 Conference in Vancouver on housing and the use of timber and the effects of building codes on housing in developing countries.

He has been practicing and has gained specialised expertise in a number of related fields:

Architectural Design: 

Fifty-four years of Practical experience in the planning, design and detailing of multi storey office buildings (up to 54 levels) in Melbourne and Perth.  Design of commercial retail developments and incorporation into recycled buildings in Melbourne.  Design, documentation and contract administration of high security prisons in Victoria.


High Technology: 

Design and detailing of metal curtain walls, stone cladding and glazing techniques, development of extrusion details, fixings and pressure equalisation principles to reject water and air infiltration on building skins (masonry, metal and glass cladding).  Investigate and design remedies to leaking facade cladding and subterranean structures in Melbourne and Sydney.
